What You Need

3 c. Watermelon

1 c. Strawberries

1/3 c. Lime juice

2 tbsp. Sugar or simple syrup

Pinch of Sea salt

1/2 c. Silver tequila

1/2 c. Triple Sec

Watermelon & Strawberry Margarita

What You Do

1.  Chop watermelon into 1-inch cubes.  Trim stems from strawberries and either halve or quarter, depending on size.  

2.  Place fruit in a large airtight container and freeze for several hours or overnight.

3.  When you’re ready to serve, combine all of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.

4.  Pour into your favorite glass and garnish with a few extra froze watermelon cubes or strawberries.

Summertime in Northern California is all about sweet, juicy fruits – ripe watermelon and strawberries couldn’t be a better sample of the incredible produce available in late summer.  This margarita recipe uses frozen fruit and just enough simple syrup to balance the tequila.  If you plan to make these for a party, prep the fruit day before so that it is well frozen – or you can always serve them on the rocks!
